Sioux Falls Residents Charged in Nebraska Pot Bust
Two Sioux Falls residents are in custody on drug charges after they were stopped Tuesday morning, October 1, on US Highway 83 in north-central Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper stopped a northbound 2006 Dodge Charger for no license plate on the highway, 20 miles south of Valentine, and during the stop the trooper detected the smell of marijuana.
A "probable cause" search led to the seizure of 11 pounds of pot in duffel bags in the trunk of the car.
The Patrol says the driver, Reginald Willet, and a passenger, Cassandra Asfeha, both 24 years old and both from Sioux Falls, are being held in the Cherry County Jail in Valentine on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
