Sioux Falls Public Meeting on Sex Trafficking
It’s really hard to imagine: According to U. S. Attorney for South Dakota, Brendan Johnson, nearly every form of human trafficking has been found in South Dakota. That’s why First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls is holding a public forum on Thursday evening featuring the Director of Bee Free Ministries—Dr. Kimberly Kaveny-LaPlante.
Mary Jane Richardson is the President of First United Methodist Women.
In Mary’s words: “We can’t bury our heads in the sand anymore! A lot of people think ‘this doesn’t happen in Sioux Falls. We’re rural. This happens in big cities. What we’re finding is sex trafficking is taking place in Sioux Falls.”
The meeting will take place beginning at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church at 401 S. Spring Avenue.
