It’s a long-standing Sioux Falls institution that will assemble on Good Friday. The Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast will have their forty-first gathering which aims to set the tone for Easter weekend.

Highlighting the event will be speaker J. Warner Wallace a homicide detective by trade. Organizer Eric Ellefson says it will be one of the more unique presentations of how one man searched for the truth.

“Basically, he’s utilized his cold case skills to investigate the Bible and make the true case for Christianity. He was a self-proclaimed angry Atheist throughout most of his life, but did some investigative work into the Bible which he will share with us.”

Whether Christian or not, Ellefson invites all to the Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast.

“We would love to have anyone of any background regardless of if you are a believer or non-believer. It’s a powerful opportunity on Good Friday to hear a testimony from that perspective. We’d love to have anyone join us.”

Ellefson has been involved with the planning of the Prayer Breakfast for a handful of years and feels the community can take pride in the experience.

“Hearing the testimony throughout the course of the year and choosing one that’s applicable for the times that we’re in has definitely impacted me personally. There are some great people behind this and planning this event with these gentlemen is a highlight for me.”

Over a thousand people annually attend the Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast making it one of the largest in the nation. It will be held at the Ramkota starting at 7:00 AM. Further information including how to get tickets is available at siouxfallsprayerbreakfast.com.
