Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens says the Wednesday morning attack on a female jogger on the bike trail wanted her iPod.

"The detective that has the case talked to the victim and she had been thinking about the attack. She realized something that didn't occur to her initially. When this guy jumped out and grabbed her---he was grabbing at her upper arm which is where she had her iPod. She had it in a device attached to her arm as she was jogging. She thinks that the guy was just trying to get the electronic device.

In light of the attack Clemens says there is more security on the bike trail.

"We have had undercover officers that have been out on the bike trail throughout the day. They are doing all kinds of things just like anybody else would to blend in. The people if they are using the bike trail wouldn't recognize the officers. Some may be on bikes, some may be walking, some may be jogging."

Clemens says the suspect in the attack is described as a Native American male with short black spikey hair.
