Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says the Saturation Patrol on St. Patrick's Day through early Wednesday morning produced results.

"We ended up having three DWI arrests that were made.  There were quite a few officers working the saturation patrol---more than we anticipated. We had 57 speeding tickets that were issued as well. There were 13 drivers license violations, 13 seat belt violations and 26 no insurance citations."

Clemens says he's not surprised officers nabbed only three impaired drivers.

"That seems about normal when we have a saturation patrol. The number is right around the average. Sometimes on St. Patrick's Day we have more and then less. It may be a factor St. Patrick's Day  came in the middle of the week. I think that was a contributing factor."

In a separate incident, Clemens says two male teens were arrested.

"It was actually a neighbor in southwest Sioux Falls who saw the two trying to get in a house through a side garage door. They weren't able to get in that house and then went to another one. The neighbor followed them and called police. Eventually, officers found them hiding out in camper that was nearby. Both of them were arrested for burglary and some marijuana charges as well."

The teens are being held in the Juvenile Detention Center.
