Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says an argument turned ugly Wednesday afternoon outside a house in the 700 Block of West 13th Street.

"We believe the suspect is a relative to one of the neighbors. The victim was hit several times with some type of object. We are not sure if it was a metal pipe or brass knuckles. The victim had a broken jaw, broken ankle and several teeth that were knocked out as well."

Right now, Clemens says officers are trying to locate the suspect.

"We haven't found the suspect yet. But, we do have a name. At this time, we're not sure if it was one person involved or several people involved. We have heard both versions from witnesses and are looking for the primary suspect."

The 32-year-old victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

It's not known what caused the incident.
