Sioux Falls Police responded to several assaults on Thursday. Police Officer Sam Clemens says one of them took place between a a former girlfriend and former boyfriend.

"He left back and came back a couple of times. The woman left with her new boyfriend and he followed them. Eventually he rammed their car. He left at that point. When the officers got there, he returned. So, he was arrested on a couple of different aggravated assault charges."

Elsewhere in the city, Clemens says four people assaulted a Sioux Falls man.

"We had a guy that went with some acquaintances to a gas station at 10 Street and Cliff Avenue. They bought a bottle of alcohol. When they left and a couple of blocks away, the four people turned on the victim---punching and kicking him. Once he was down in the ground, they grabbed the cash from his pocket and took off."

In another incident, Clemens says a stabbing took place between two boyfriends.

"They had an argument. That left to a fist fight. There was a little bit of a break. Our victim left and came back to an empty apartment. The suspect returned and grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen."

The victim was not seriously injured.
