Sioux Falls Man Arrested for Hitting Child with Tennis Racket

During Thursday's Sioux Falls Police Briefing, Officer Sam Clemens reported an alleged assault of a child resulted in an arrest.

"Mom's boyfriend was a little upset I guess. A seven year old boy was running around the house and not listening. The subject ended up grabbing a toy tennis racket and hitting the boy in the head. The boy had a few different cuts from the racket. He was not taken to the hospital. Mom was going to treat her son at home."

Clemens says 37-year old Leslie Steel of Sioux Falls was charged with abuse to a minor.
