Sioux Falls Man Accused of Punching, Kicking Girlfriend. 11-Year-Old Calls Police.

A Sioux Falls man went to jail early Wednesday after, police say, he punched and kicked his live-in girlfriend.

Police were called around 12:15 am to an apartment in the 3200 block of West 43rd Street where Information Officer Sam Clemens says the two had been arguing.

Clemens says Achor Dhel, 42, was arrested on charges of domestic aggravated assault and interfering with emergency communications. The 41-year-old female victim was not seriously injured.

Clemens says Dhel had been drinking and the victim had not. He says their 11-year-old child was the one who called police.
