In the aftermath of the building collapse in downtown Sioux Falls on Friday, city emergency manager Regan Smith says the city will join in the investigation of the incident.

"I would like to clarify something I said on Monday in terms of the city not being interested in the investigation. Of course, the city is interested and we are aggressively executing our role in this investigation in a very aggressive fashion."

Smith says the city will work directly with OSHA!

"The federal agency (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is conducting the investigation into the collapse. OSHA has jurisdiction over a death on private property at a private work site. The city is assisting OSHA with the investigation."

The collapse resulted in the death of one man and injury of a woman.
