Our news-gathering partner, KDLT-TV, reports a house in southeastern Sioux Falls is severely damaged following an overnight blaze.

The call came in around 12:30 AM on Tuesday after a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the house located at 2100 East Edgewood Road.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue believes no one was home when the blaze started.  No car was found in the garage.  The fire took around 30 minutes to put out.  There was substantial damage to the main level of the house. One adjacent home suffered minor exposure damage from the heat.

The fire is under investigation by Fire Investigators from Sioux Falls Fire Prevention and ATF. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is remaining on scene to monitor for hot sports.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would remind residents to having working smoke detectors and a practiced escape plan in the event of an emergency.
