Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says 32-year-old Matthew Krause wanted in Minnesota now faces a variety of drug charges in Sioux Falls following the discovery of an apartment meth lab.

"Both the drug task force and the sheriff's office warrant task force were able to find Krause. They arrested him on the
Minnesota warrant. Drugs were also found in his car. They talked with the owner of the car and found out he had been staying in an apartment and had been possibly manufacturing some meth in that apartment."

That's when authorities got a search warrant for the apartment.

"Officers found the components necessary for manufacture meth. There were about two and a half grams of meth that were found. There were a lot of other items that had meth residue as well."

Clemens says meth is one of the primary drugs being abused in Sioux Falls. Marijuana is number one.
