A report to Sioux Falls Police of a burglary late Thursday afternoon resulted in a pursuit and two people in custody.'

Officer Sam Clemens says a woman who lives in the 1300 block of South Riverdale Road called around 6:45pm to say someone was banging on her door and trying to break into her house.

Clemens says the woman, whose mother from Vermillion was in the house with her, told dispatchers a man she didn't know was shouting something like "You owe me money, so let me in!"

The man used a pipe to break windows and damage a car in the driveway before getting into a green truck that left the area.

Clemens says an officer tried to stop the vehicle at 16th and Cliff, but the pursuit ended in a driveway at the suspects' home in the 300 block of North Wayland Avenue.

He says the driver 28-year-old, Kimberly Vanalsburg, was arrested for second-offense DWI, driving with a revoked license, eluding and an open container.

Her husband, 29-year-old Cody Vanloh, was charged with two counts of simple assault and felony intentional damage to property.

The resident of the house and her mother were not injured.

Damage to the car was estimated at $2,350.
