Years ago some friends of mine strongly recommend I add helping others to my personal schedule.

They promised that if I helped people without expecting anything in return, I would learn that doing good feels good.

I saw a quote recently that said:

Would your community know the difference if your church wasn't there.

What a powerful statement and great question. Does a church do enough in a community to make a difference, so much so that if it wasn't there people would feel the void.

I saw recently at Embrace Church in Sioux Falls, SD they focus on one community project to focus on and make a difference together. It's call their 'One Thing'.

According to their website here is March's 'One Thing'

Each month, we focus on doing One Thing as a church to show the love of Christ. This month we are partnering with Sanford & St John’s hospitals to provide chemotherapy care packages for adults and kids who are starting treatment. Please take a gift bag, fill it with the recommended items and return the care package(s) to the One Thing area by the end of the month. THANK YOU.
