Roger Dow, the President and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association, says Sioux Falls will experience a strong summer for tourists!

"We've got low gas prices and the economy has picked up. We're very bullish! We think it will probably be up about two percent over last year. Last year showed an increase over 2013. It should be strong! For Sioux Falls, tourism will be great. The city keeps adding more and more things for visitors and becoming a destination verses a pass through.":

Dow says Sioux Falls is gaining international interest.

"Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia are all areas where I'm hearing people talking about coming to South Dakota and Sioux Falls. These people want to see the real America---places like this are exacting what they want. I think you you got it all going for you with great restaurants, great activities and great iconic landmarks."

Roger Dow was the keynote speaker at Tuesday's 2015 Visitor Industry Luncheon at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
