The folks over at the Sioux Empire Community Theatre have been hard at work preparing their next production, Fiddler on the Roof.

According to the SECT website Fiddler on the Roof is described as:

Set in the village Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman of five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters in the face of changing social morals. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will leave you crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

Some may be familiar with the popular film version of Fiddler on the Roof from 1971.

Opening night is Friday, September 11th and the show will run through September 27th, with shows Fridays and Saturdays at 7PM and matinees on Sunday at 2PM.

Tickets are $25.

All shows are at the Historic Orpheum Theater on North Phillips.

Tickets are available at the Orpheum box office, at siouxfallstheatre.com, or by calling 605-360-4800.

I may be partial because I know a few people involved in the production, but I know I'll be there opening night!

Get your tickets soon, they're going quick.
