A 22-year old who is wanted in connection with the shooting of a Sioux City police officer April 29th has been apprehended by authorities in Texas.

Officer Kevin McCormick has been on the job for 15 months and sustained injuries to his right eye, but will be OK.

Jamal Dean is accused of firing eight bullets through McCormick's police cruiser windshield. A $15,000 reward had been offered for information on Dean's whereabouts.

Dean is being held by U.S. Marshals on a charge of attempted murder in connection with the shooting.
