Sid's Crown Liquor has been a Sioux Falls mainstay downtown since Sid Epstein opened the doors 67 years ago. The business will close it's doors by the end of the month.

Epstein passed away in 2009 and the business was kept going by family, but Sid's son-in-law says the business lost money last year and has seen declining sales since the South Dakota Legislature passed the so called "Hy-Vee Bill" which allowed box stores and grocery stores with multiple locations to hold multiple liquor licenses.

Sid's is liquidating the inventory and will be closed within the next two weeks.
