It's good to be an NBA player. Million-dollar salaries, basketball groupies and comp drinks are a pretty fantastic way to live. Shame Battier knows this. While talking about superstitions during the Miami Heat's 27-game winning streak, Battier expressed his love for Bud Light in an interview:

“Athletes are all superstitious and even if they don’t admit it, there’s a routine and just a cadence to our days. Especially when things go well, you can see us try to replicate it," Battier said.

“I try to drink the same beer – Bud Light – but that’s about it. You never know. I don’t want to chance luck and switch up brands, so I’m staying loyal to Bud Light.”

A few weeks later… BOOM — a truckload of Bud Light arrived at Battier's house courtesy of AB InBev. You can see the delivery in the video above. Battier is probably upset he didn't say "hanging out with models in a hot tub while drinking Bud Light" as his superstition.

This is almost unfair. Battier can afford to buy truckloads of beer. Let's hope that he's the generous type and that he's donated his windfall to a good cause. Because, really, if LeBron, D-Wade, Bosh and Battier are all hanging around burning cash, dating models and drinking free Bud Light, we may hurt ourselves.
