NEW YORK (AP) - The producers of "Sesame Street" have asked President Barack Obama's re-election campaign to take down an ad it's produced using Big Bird.

The ad mocks Mitt Romney's vow to end federal funding for public broadcasting. It says the Republican hopeful believes "it isn't Wall Street you need to worry about, it's Sesame Street.",

At a campaign stop in Iowa today, Romney says he's scratching his head over the focus on Big Bird, saying the president should spend more time on saving the American people and family farms.

The Sesame Workshop says it requested the ad be taken down because it is a nonpartisan nonprofit and does not participate in political campaigns.
