Sammy Hagar Planning Duets Album

Sammy Hagar is following in the footsteps of a few other California artists and residents -- Santana and John Fogerty -- by doing an album of duets. Sammy Hagar & Friends, due for release in September, features appearances by Michael Anthony, Kid Rock, Ronnie Dunn, Neal Schon, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith and others.

On Saturday, Hagar was the Honorary Grand Marshal of the 100th Fontana Days Parade in Hagar's hometown of Fontana, California. He was also surprised when the town announced that they are naming a street for him called Hagar Way. "It's an honor," said Hagar. "Something about your hometown never leaves you."
