In anticipation of Thursday's snow storm throughout the region, Sioux Falls Street Department Director Gaylynn Huber says his crews are already preparing for the storm.

"From the amount of snow we may get, we will determine how many people that will be brought in for their shifts.  Once we get into plowing the streets, it's really become second nature to our crews.  It's just for us -- trying to figure out what we'll be battling."

It's also possible we could get another snow storm on Sunday.  "We'll be working through the weekend.  The Sunday storm comes close enough to the Thursday storm---we won't even take a break."

And, snow gates will be used!  "If we do a snow alert, we will be out in different areas testing the snow gates..  We have 6 areas where they will be put to the test."
