Rush: Peart’s Obsessed

Rush drummer Neil Peart says when he takes up something, be it drumming, writing, bike riding or motorcycles, he becomes obsessed with it. Profiled in Sabian cymbal maker's Obsessed series of drummer videos, Peart says, "I am naturally obsessive, hopefully on a less than psychological disturbing way... Enthusiastic is a word I much prefer."

Peart and Rush wrapped up the first month of their Clockwork Angels tour last night (Sunday) in Edmonton, Canada. They're now off until October 10th when it resumes in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Neil Peart on being obsessive: "I am naturally obsessive, hopefully on a less than psychological disturbing way, but I do to tend to get very enthusiastic. And actually, enthusiastic is a word I much prefer. It literally means infected by the gods."
