U.S. News & World Report is out with its annual rankings of the top public high schools in the nation, and one Sioux Falls school is in elite company.

Roosevelt High School is the Top Ranked Public High School in South Dakota, 948th in the nation, out of more than 21,000 schools ranked.  That puts Roosevelt in the top five percent nationally.

According to the report, the school has a student - teacher ratio of 17:1, has a college readiness score of 33.6, has an AP participation level of 45%, and has proficiency rates of 78% in math and 75% in reading.

  3. Harrisburg
  4. Wall
  5. Brandon Valley
