Jann Wenner, publisher of Rolling Stone magazine and co-founder of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has put together a list of the 20 artists he feels should be the next inducted. Someone has forgotten the word 'Rock' again.

It's long been rumored that Wenner himself is the final word on who gets in to the Hall of Fame and who doesn't. Wenner was famous for his dislike of KISS (they made their first Rolling Stone magazine cover last WEEK! and just got inducted tonight after all) so it's a little unsettling to see the tweet from Wenner and Rolling Stone on who they think should be the next 20 artists inducted. While I agree with some, there are many on this list that have me scratching my head (how are LL Cool J, Donna Summer, Randy Newman, Public Enemy and others Hall of Famers already???)

Here's the list along with the year they became eligible for induction. A band becomes eligible 25 years after their first recording:

Joan Baez - 1985
The Shangri-Las - 1990
Harry Nilsson - 1991
Dolly Parton - 1992
Deep Purple - 1993
Yes - 1994
Warren Zevon - 1994
Kraftwerk - 1995
LL Cool J - 2000
Joan Jett - 2001
Kate Bush - 2003
The Cure - 2003
Iron Maiden - 2005
Depeche Mode - 2006
Slayer - 2008
Afrika Bambaataa - 2008
Bon Jovi - 2009
The Smiths - 2009
Whitney Houston - 2010
N.W.A. - 2013
