The Faces have rumored to reunite for several years now, and have done several shows with former Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall standing in for Rod Stewart who was otherwise busy with other projects.

But now Stewart is pointing the finger at Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood for stopping the full band reunion. Rod was finally on track to reunite with the band earlier this year at their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but backed out of the brief reunion performance at the 11th hour claiming he had the flu and was ordered by doctors to remain at home in Los Angeles.

Rod explained why he hasn't ever been able to fully commit to a reunion tour with the Faces: "Well, now Woody goes quiet, now he's got a few gigs with the Stones, you don't hear anything of it; he's all wrapped. . . That's the main reason why we can't get 'round to doing it, is until they, that lot pack up for good -- and I don't think that'll ever be happening quite soon, I can't commit to it, 'cause Woody'll say, 'Well, I gotta do this with the Stones' and I'll say, 'Hold on -- but I gave you eight months of this year for the Faces. But we're all good mates and I swear on my life, it'll happen one day."
