Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band have announced a six-date swing through New Zealand and Japan, with the tour's Australia dates set to be announced on October 26th. Ringo kicks off the overseas shows on February 7th, 2013 in Christchurch, New Zealand and, as of now, winds down the trek on March 1st in Osaka, Japan.

Ringo will once again enlist the help of last summer's All Starr lineup, which included Todd Rundgren, Billy Joel's longtime saxophonist Mark Rivera, Mr. Mister's Richard Page, drummer Gregg Bissonette, Santana and Journey co-founding keyboardist Gregg Rolie, and Toto's co-founding guitarist Steve Lukather.

Ringo talked about the upcoming tour in the press release announcing the shows, saying: "The tour this summer was just GREAT -- I love playing with this band and I can't wait to get back out and play with them again. I am looking forward to revisiting Japan with the All Starrs and of course New Zealand and Australia. Peace & Love!"

With 12 All Starr Band tours under his belt over the past 23 years, Ringo admits that he can't stay off the road for long: "I retire after every tour. I can't help it. 'Oh, that's it, I've retired.' Everybody in the family laughs at me, and I say, 'No, I'm serious, I've retired.' And then six months later, you say, 'Well, what do I do? I play.' And then I'm back out on the road."
