Rock Report: Lots Of People Know Who Pete Townshend Is
Pete Townshend has another hit on his hands and it doesn’t even have a riff or his trademark ‘windmill’ involved. His new memoir Who I Am is number three on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction and Combined Print and E-Book Nonfiction best-seller lists.
Townshend says, “The main thrust of this book is the book that I wanted to write when I was 20, which was the music that I had grown up with had changed suddenly…and I had no words for them… So the words are yours and the music is mine.”
Townshend explained why he decided to finally write his autobiography:
