After Billie Joe Armstrong decided to enter rehab last month, after his onstage tirade -- Green Day bassist, Mike Dirnt told Rolling Stone how difficult the situation has been for the group.

He said, "Billie doesn't take things lightly and he wouldn't take rehab lightly, either. He's in the middle of some really big things, but we're going to pull through. It's killing everyone. Green Day has never been a band that sits still, but sometimes you have to step back and let life go on rather than try to control everything."

The group pulled out of their headlining slot on October 27 at the Voodoo Music and Arts Experience festival in New Orleans.

They still plan to release the next album in their trilogy, !Dos! on November 13.
