The latest Foo Fighters album Concrete and Gold is not set to drop until September of 2017 - but head Foo Dave Grohl revealed the surprise guest artist on one of the tracks. Paul McCartney is sitting in on drums for one track.

This well kept secret was uncovered when Grohl recently chatted with ET Canada.

This isn't the first time Grohl has been in the studio with McCartney. Back in 2013 Sir Paul sat in with Grohl and the surviving Nirvana member for the tune "Cut Me Some Slack."

Grohl goes on to admit that they're stills starstruck when McCartney enters the studio with them.

Incredibly, according to Foo drummer Taylor Hawkins, the tech set up the drums for Paul, and having never heard the song before, nailed it in two takes.

The Foo Fighters will hit the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls on November 11 for the sold-out show.
