On Saturday, the American Red Cross-Dakotas Region will lead a group of individuals to make an impact in Sioux Falls through GROWING RESILIENT.  The American Red Cross has partnered with the City of Sioux Falls, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, Sioux Falls Public Health, Live Well Sioux Falls, corporate and community leaders to do a one-day Community Resiliency blitz within the Hayward Neighborhood, reaching approximately 1,200 homes. Firefighters will install smoke alarms that provide 10 years of protection without changing batteries.  While firefighters install the alarms, American Reed Cross volunteers will educate citizens to prepare for many types of disasters.

When an individual, community or business is healthy and prepared, they will be more resilient in times of emergency and will recover sooner.
