Ray Davies – New Album With New Book?

Word out of the U.K. is that Ray Davies will release a new album in conjunction with the October 1st publication of his new book, Americana: The Kinks, the Riff, the Road, the Story.

He says, “The album includes lots of hobby songs I’ve written over the past 20 years while I traveled around -- a musical diary. I’ve never shown them to anyone but they’re a great way of helping me understand myself.”

Ray’s last album of new material was Working Man’s Café in 2007.
