Lane Closures on 41st Street Between Spring Avenue and Norton Avenue

Beginning Monday, October 8, 2012, at 9 a.m., ongoing construction of the Sioux River South Sanitary Interceptor Sewer Replacement Project will require lane closures on 41st Street between Spring Avenue and Norton Avenue. Access to businesses will be maintained. The work will consist of utility replacement and street resurfacing in the intersection of 41st Street and Duluth Avenue. Work on 41st Street is expected to be completed in two weeks.

The overall project completion date is scheduled for November 30, 2012.

Railroad Crossing Work on Sixth Street

Beginning Thursday, October 4, 2012, street improvements will be made at the BNSF railroad crossing on Sixth Street near Weber Avenue. During the operation, lanes will be closed where repairs are being made. Traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times. Traffic delays may be encountered.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction areas and may wish to consider alternate routes.

No Parking along North Western Avenue

Starting Friday, October 5, 2012, crews will be working along North Western Avenue between Ninth Street and Burnside Street. Due to this activity no parking will be allowed on the east side of Western Avenue. Construction crews will be working on sanitary sewer cleaning, manhole rehabilitation and CIPP sewer lining work. Traffic lanes in both directions will be maintained. Access to local businesses and residential areas will remain open.

Motorists are urged to us caution when travelling in this area. Construction activity in this area is expected to be completed by November 9, 2012.
