Queen – The New Freddie Will Be…

Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor have pretty much decided who will play Freddie Mercury in the movie they are making about their late singer's life, but they're not saying just yet.

May says, "We're looking for someone who's a great actor and can live the part... [and] we think we have the right Freddie and hopefully an announcement will come soon."

Comedic actor Sacha Baron Cohen was their first choice, but they decided it was not working out because May says "his presence in the movie would be very distracting."

The first name mentioned as a replacement was Dominic Cooper, but now it appears as though they are going with Ben Whishaw, who played Q in the last James Bond movie, Skyfall.
