Police: Sioux Falls Teen Threatens Neighbor With Baseball Bat
Sioux Falls Police arrested a teenager Wednesday afternoon following an argument with his mom.
"We had a 17-year-old who arrived home and wanted to borrow a car. Mom refused to let him borrow the car," according to Police Spokesman Sam Clemens. "That started an argument. During the course of the argument, he broke a child's safety gate inside the house. Because they were getting so vocal, a neighbor heard this and came over to see what was going on. When he found out the neighbor was coming over, the teen grabbed a baseball bat and went outside where he threatened the neighbor with the bat. Police were called."
Clemens says the boy faces several charges.
"The 17-year-old was arrested for aggravated assault, damaging the gate. He was taken taken to the Juvenile Detention Center in Sioux Falls."
