Police-Andy’s Got a New Trio

Andy Summers, the guitarist in The Police, has a new band. He formed Circa Zero with Rob Giles, a solo artist and one-time member of The Rescues. They have recorded an album called Circus Hero, which they will release it soon, and they’ll do their first show on July 25th at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.

On the album Andy of course plays guitar and Giles handles the vocals, bass and drums. They have since rounded out the line-up, adding Emmanuelle Caplette on drums. The full story on how the band met and came together can be found on The Police website. A full tour is planned for next year.
