Phil Collins Day Friday

Phil Collins Day is this Friday in New York, and this time out the celebration shifts from Brooklyn to the Rockaways section of neighboring Queens. The theme of this year's festivities will be "Take Me Home," which will serve as a nod to those hit hardest by Hurricane Sandy, which caused major destruction to the Rockaways

"Phil Collins" is also now a song title. Australian alternative pop duo Big Scary are about to release a track by that name as the lead single from their upcoming album, Not Art. The track is available for streaming via the band's SoundCloud page. Collins joins "Alex Chilton" by The Replacements, "Brian Wilson" by Barenaked Ladies, "Buddy  Holly" by Weezer and "Springsteen" by country singer Eric Church on the list of musicians whose names have been used as song titles.
