Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says a person of interest connected to a Sioux Falls shooting has been arrested in Iowa.

"26-year-old Lachara Bordeaux is the person that was with Jared Stone we believe at the time the homicide was committed. We were looking for both of them," explained Clemens.

"Early Tuesday morning, the LeMars, Iowa police department ended up having contact with her. They found out we were trying to find her. She was then detained. There was an arrest warrant issued for her, two counts of accessory to commit homicide. That arrest warrant carries the $1 million cash bond. She will be held there and then have some court appearances in Iowa before she is returned to South Dakota."

Clemens says Bordeaux was with Stone on Monday night. Authorities have been contacted regarding tips on the location of Stone and Bordeaux.

Clemens says Bordeaux was a person of interest after the shooting death of 28-year-old Baptise White Eyes on Friday. Murder suspect Jared Stone has not been located.
