Peaceful Conclusion to Sioux Falls Standoff

A three-hour stand-off ended peacefully with a lone arrest.  On Friday morning, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Task Force received a tip that a man with outstanding warrants for Escape and Child Support was in an apartment at 518 W. 8th Street.  There was also the possibility that the man had a firearm.

By early in the afternoon 34 year-old CARL JEROME STANLEY II, of Sioux Falls was taken into custody without incident.   SWAT and Crisis Negotiators assisted with the call that took about three hours from start to finish.
