When Pave first opened, I was invited to their grand opening and it was a pretty big deal. It was a new bar in town with a cool new vibe.

The idea of having two floors with distinct themes was so different for Sioux Falls. Downstairs was chill and has the ambiance of a New York loft while upstairs was rock-n-roll all the way with music and dancing.

Ever since Pave opened last year, it had been the talk of the town. From the controversy of the lip urinals to the unfortunate building collapse next door.

Pave is back up and running and I finally got to sample from their food menu. Pave is a bar and is known for signature cocktails and it's nightlife, but a friend and I enjoyed a nice Sunday afternoon lunch there and it was delightful.

I had the philly cheesesteak sandwich and fries while my friend had one of the chicken sandwiches.  We were both pleasantly surprised. You never know what you're going to get with bar food, but this was pretty good.

I liked that the fries had salt and pepper on them. It gave them a little extra zing.

The lunch menu has everything from soups and salads to paninis and burgers. But there is more, there is also a full dinner menu!

I can also recommend the appetizer pretzel. I call it the table pretzel because its a soft pretzel as big as your table. Meant for sharing, but I won't judge. Delicious!

So the next time you're thinking about going out for lunch or dinner, why not try Pave?

Our server was very accommodating as well. The second floor was closed during our lunch, but my friend had never seen the upstairs, so the server was kind enough to give her a quick tour. Very nice!
