Pancakes have always signified something special in my life, because (especially as kids) they were a delicacy you only got on weekends, or birthdays, or certain other notable occasions. With a very busy, hard-working mom, breakfast in our house was usually cereal, or toast, (sometimes both), occasionally oatmeal and in very rare instances, Pop-tarts.

So pancakes and other time-consuming-to-prepare items, were reserved for weekends and celebratory days. I know you're thinking, "but what about pancake suppers?", nope, not in our house. That is why to this day, pancakes are something extraordinary to me.

If you love pancakes and helping friends and neighbors, the LifeScape Pancake Benefit should be right up your alley and on your radar for Sunday, April 3, 2016. It is happening at the Sioux Falls Convention Center from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door, kids 5 and under eat free. You can purchase tickets here or pick them up at any Nyberg's Ace location in Sioux Falls.

Chris's Cakes is preparing the pancakes & sausage, you'll find other baked goods for sale from The Cookie Cutter (which employs LifeScape clients), as well as raffle packages and artwork from other LifeScape clients. So bring the whole family for some very special pancakes on an important Sunday and help support some exceptional people here in Sioux Falls!
