The biggest thing to happen was a female winner at the legendary Knoxville Raceway. A straight A high school senior no less.

17 year old McKenna Haase enters sprint car racing in 2014 as a 305 rookie at Knoxville Raceway after a successful career in outlaw karts & micro-sprints. She becomes the first women to win a sprint car main event at the Knoxville Raceway on Memorial Day weekend.
Plus, the return of injured Terry McCarl.
