One Person Dead In Accident That Has East 10th St. Closed Tuesday Evening

One person is dead this evening in a traffic accident near East 10th Street and Chapel Hill Road according to Sioux Falls Police.

An eastbound car was turning left on Chapel Hill Road off East 10th Street when it was hit by a westbound Hummer H2 hit the car broadside.

The passenger in the car dies on the scene. Four other people have been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Names are not being released until families are notified.

10th Street is closed in both directions (near Cleveland Avenue) Police remain on the scene and say the busy road will remain closed for several hours.
