Sioux Falls Police say one person is dead and two others injured after a vehicle hit a tree at an event Sunday night.

The accident took place at an event celebrating the Salvation Army's 125th anniversary in Sioux Falls.

According to a police department news release, a van was traveling through the organization's parking lot on North Cliff Avenue.  The van then left the parking lot and exited on North 1st street, where it struck three people.

According to Tea Storm Chasers, the victim was identified as Angel Stevens by her son.  Two other pedestrians received serious but non life threatening injuries.

The driver of the van has been identified as 47 year old Lois Two Bulls of Sioux Falls.  She is being charged with manslaughter in the 2nd degree, no driver's license, failure to maintain financial responsibility and a seat belt violation.
