Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has explosive speed, making him the fastest player in the NFL. He knows it, but he's not satisfied. He wants to be the fastest in the world. But to get that title, he'll first have to prove that he's faster than a cheetah – the fastest land animal.

Johnson will kick off Nat Geo Wild's Big Cat Week in November by racing a cheetah. This is not about sports, but about science. The "Man vs. Cheetah" special will give researchers the opportunity to learn more about the cheetah's overall strength and ability.

Chicago Bears return specialist and speedster Devin Hester will also race the big cat – you know, in case the cheetah decides to eat Johnson. The special will air in November.
