New Sioux Falls Skyforce head coach Phil Weber joins Jeff Thurn on Tuesday's edition of Overtime.

Weber is the Skyforce's 17th head coach in team history, and has been a consultant for the Miami Heat since 2012. Previously, Weber has served as an assistant coach for the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns. He also redshirted for the North Carolina State Wolfpack during the 1982-1983 college basketball season.

Hear him discuss his new opportunity in the NBA Developmental League with Thurn below:

Thurn asks Weber if a lack of NBADL experience concerns him, or if Miami and Sioux Falls will be provide enough support for the former NBA assistant to fit right in?

"Well you know there is some people that are in Miami, obviously with Adam (Simon), and Coach O, who was there last year as an assistant. They are going to help acclimate me to what's expected and what's going on. The biggest thing is basketball. It's relatively the same rules. There's a couple minor variations and I think with my background and we are also going to have Chris Quinn, who played in the league. So, I am probably going to lean on him regarding some of the stuff game-wise. You know as we get game ready. We still have a little time for me to go to school. I am always learning now."

Same system as last year for this season's Skyforce squad?

"Well you know the one thing that will stay constant and it will always will when you are dealing with the Miami Heat: is the culture. That's something that I've been around a little bit with working Coach Spoelstra since 2012. That's my biggest job. To develop players and while you are developing new players, instill the tremendous culture that has been in Miami Heat and the Skyforce. So, of course that's something that we want to pass the torch to. It's going to be tough-minded defense and somewhere around my teams have been associated with scoring a little bit. So, I'm not forgetting about that side of the ball."
