Eddie Vedder says writing for a new Pearl Jam album is about halfway done. He tells Rolling Stone that the band is taking their time on the project and that they'll "be ready to go when we're ready to go."

Vedder describes the current state of the band as "healthy as ever" and says they "really work together as a unit these days." He says they've "figured out after all these years that if everybody just puts their stamp on it then it sounds how we want it to" and that it "sounds new, cause everyone is growing."
