In the five years the Sioux Falls Arena hosted the Summit League Basketball Tournament, there have been a number of improvements made to the aging building, including high tech scoreboards and better lighting.

The latest upgrade was rolled out Thursday: a brand new court for the four-day event, which tips off Saturday.

In the past, a vinyl decal 'Summit League' decal was placed over the old court, but NCAA rules have now outlawed that practice, because it was deemed a tripping hazard.

The new floor will be used for this season's tournament and next week's Class AA boys basketball championship and then tucked away until next season.
