Maybe it's something in the water in New England. Patriots coach Bill Belichick was blasted by announcers after he blew off a post-game Q&A when they were eliminated by the Baltimore Ravens in last weekends AFC Championship game. Last year following their play-off exit, quarterback Tom Brady's supermodel wife Giselle, blamed New England wide receiver Wes Welker for the teams loss. Now this year, it's Welker's wife that has gotten into some hot water for taking a shot at Baltimore Ravens star linebacker Ray Lewis on her Facebook page following the Ravens 28-13 win over the Patriots Sunday.

In case you can't read it, Anna Welker wrote "Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids and 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"

A short time later, Welker removed the post and has since apologized for her 'irrational and emotional' comments.

And just to clarify her comments: Lewis has never been married, though he reportedly does have six children from four women.

He was charged with murder in Atlanta in 2000 after a fight at a Super Bowl party. The charge was later dropped as he pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and testified for the prosecution against the two other men.

I know they've won a lot of titles and are used to playing games into January, but sheesh! Learn how to lose with a little bit of grace Patriots! (and Patriots wives, fans, etc.)
