If you are planning to attend one or both of the first two events at the new Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls this is what you need to know:

TIPS FOR ATTENDING
PREMIER CENTER’S FIRST TWO CONCERTS

WHO: Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, with Starship.  Jason Aldean, with Florida Georgia Line.

WHAT: Opening concerts at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center

WHEN: Joan Jett--Wednesday, September 24, 7 p.m.  / Jason Aldean—Friday, October 3, 7:30 p.m.

WHY: In an effort to provide a more pleasurable experience for all concert goers, the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center staff offer the following tips when arriving for the first two concerts and all other events in the future:

Come early. There is great demand to see events in the PREMIER Center. Doors will open extra early for the Joan Jett Concert—5 p.m.—to give people time to tour the building before the show starts. Doors for Jason Aldean will open at 6:30 p.m.

Prepare for lines. Security measures are being implemented to increase the level of safety provided to patrons and employees. The security technique known as “wanding” is being instituted to ensure that prohibited items such as weapons do not enter the facility. All bags also will be inspected at the entrance.

Parking and Shuttle service. Free shuttle service will be operating from Elmwood Park at Russell and Western; Burnside Park at 4th and Grange; and Terrace Park at Madison and Menlo. Shuttles will run 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Shuttles will only run during select events, so concert goers are encouraged to check ahead for details. General admission parking is available on site on a first come, first served basis.

*Good seats still remain for Joan Jett—at $10 per ticket. The Jason Aldean concert is sold out.

Follow the traffic flow. Sioux Falls Police Department will be on hand to direct traffic as you arrive and depart. Officers will manually control lights to help with traffic flow, and will direct vehicles out of the parking lots and on to adjacent roadways.
